Vinita Nair
Nair joined the station in July 2004 and reported on many subjects, such as her report on the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation and school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was employed by ABC News in December 2007 as an anchor and correspondent for ABC News Now. To fulfill her duties as a correspondent, Nair delivered live reports and briefings to ABC's network. Nair was co-anchor on World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17th of 2008 up to February 18, 2011. On both shows, she began her collaboration by Jeremy Hubbard. Later she co-anchored the show with Rob Nelson. Nair made it clear on Thursday 17th February, 2011, that her last night broadcasting at World News Now would be the evening of Friday, 18th February. Her last day at ABC News would be Friday on February 18. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. The February 18 edition of World News Now paid tribute to Nair during each of its three segments. The show also included appearances from current and former colleagues like Jeremy Hubbard. She lavished the team with an excellent breakfast during her last day.
